We are looking for a SAS Developer to strengthen our team.
A SAS Developer takes care of the end-to-end life cycle of the SAS eco system (deployments, system configurations, health checks).
Identifies bottlenecks in production systems and provide solutions. Designs, implements, and maintains platform security via SAS Metadata, Linux operating systems, LDAP/Active Directory, and data warehousing environments. Manage metadata identities, users, groups, and roles. Manages permissions to metadata objects
You will work within a DevOps scrum team, but you are also part of a community to share your knowledge about your area of expertise.
If you are enthusiastic about SAS Developer, working closely together with stakeholders, have experience with SAS, large datasets, SQL, Linux and Azure this will be the job for you.

Your job
You will be working together with a focused team on implementing and improving our data driven solutions.
Within the team, you'll be involved in making configuration changes and implementing upgrades in close contact with the stakeholders, applying patches and configuration changes to Linux systems and SAS applications, Azure Infrastructure and Azure Pipelines.
It's definitely a plus if you have experience with all of these technologies, but also be eager to learn new skills.
Working environment
The job is situated in the ABN AMRO IT organisation. We are an agile DevOps team. The team consists of 8 IT Engineers and a Product Owner.
We are repsponsible for reporting to DNB, ECB and tax authorities.
ABN AMRO has adopted a hybrid way of working. The team works mostly from home and communicates virtually throughout the day. Once a week we get together but it is possible to come to the office more frequently.
The office is based in Amsterdam at Gustav Mahlerlaan, the building is catered for the hybrid way of working.
Your profile
- Experience analyzing business and finance system requirements and building SAS solutions that meet needs
- Preferable proven work experience as an ETL developer or experience with finance systems
- Ability to conduct impact analysis and determine critical path processes with problem solving skills
- Good understanding of SQL, Linux and Azure Cloud Technologies and excited about new technologies and willingness to experiment
- A team player who is not afraid to engage in discussions
- CI/CD Tooling (Azure Pipelines, YAML, Sonarqube, Fortify etc.)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and writing) in English

- A salary ranging from 4239.- to 6055.- per month based on a 36-hour workweek
