
Marketing Services Manager
The Marketing Services Manager is the manager of Loyens & Loeff’s firmwide Marketing Services team within the Marketing department, which is part of Loyens & Loeff’s ‘Commercial & Legal Excellence Business Function’.
This role can be fulfilled from an office in any of Loyens & Loeff’s Home Markets, although frequent presence in the Amsterdam office (where most people are based) is expected (approximately 2-3 days per week, every other week). In addition, regular presence in other Home Markets is expected. The Marketing Services Manager will report to the Head of Marketing.
The Marketing Services team, acts as the service desk for operational marketing communications requests coming from all the firm’s Home Markets. The team is responsible for planning and publishing on various platforms, ensuring websites are always up-to-date, image editing, contributing ideas for creative campaigns, development of various marketing materials. It also includes support services such as posting inspiring content, sending emails, publish newsletters, coordinating events. The central Marketing department safeguards proper use of the Loyens & Loeff brand.
Your responsibilities as a Marketing Services Manager:
The Marketing Services Manager acts as a “cooperating supervisor” being involved in handling marketing requests themselves. The Marketing Services Manager oversees the working processes and service to the business in all the firm’s Home Markets.
- Managing a team of ~15 (headcount) personnel, including responsibility over HR matters such as appraisals, holiday planning, and sickness / leave;
- Coaching the team in their development;
- Driving collaboration across Marketing Services Manager and Marketing Event Officers and across Home Markets to ensure alignment in the firm’s handling of (operational) marketing requests;
- Overseeing messaging on different (marketing) channels;
- Managing allocation and (capacity) planning of Marketing Services Officers and Marketing Event Officers to various tasks / demands;
- Delivering high quality and fast service to business teams;
- Ensuring consistency in marketing across Home Markets and collaborating with the Home Market Managing Partners (where relevant together with the Head of Marketing) on this;
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness where it relates to event organization, in conjunction with the Head of Marketing.
Communication / interaction with other roles:
In this function, the Marketing Services Manager is expected to frequently communicate / interact with, among others:
- The Head of Marketing (to whom he/she reports);
- Marketing Services Officers/Advisers (who report to the Marketing Services Manager);
- Marketing Event Officers/Advisers (who reports to the Marketing Services Manager);
- Partners in the business with specific marketing requests;
- The Facility Management organization (where relevant);
- External marketing vendors (when relevant).
This vacancy suits you, because you are/have:
- Proven experience (indicatively 5+ years) in a marketing role, preferably as senior / manager or likewise;
- Affinity and in-depth expertise of data, data management and marketing automation;
- (Preferred) experience with managing “marketing automated” type organization;
- Fluency in English/Dutch is required, and proficiency in French is strongly preferred / recommended;
- Ability to mentor and lead diverse teams, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment;
- A drive to deliver high service quality to stakeholders;
- Analytical competencies and problem-solving skills.
