As our EMEA VAT Compliance and Reporting Manager you will be a key team member of the EMEA Finance team, you will be responsible for both the routine and recurring VAT Compliance and Reporting obligations but also driving forward our systems and processes for the current and future evolving needs of the business and digital tax landscape, as well as foster continuous improvement initiatives.

What will you do ?

You will be responsible for VAT technical support and compliance in EMEA region, which includes:

Ensuring the organization is fully compliant with VAT regulations and keep track of VAT developments and update the organization accordingly.
Working closely with the regional controllers, local country finance teams and associates from the Global Finance business services team (including Order to Cash and Procure to Pay) across the region.
Provide expert guidance on VAT-related issues and queries, including cross-border transactions within principal operating model.
Preparation and oversight of VAT filing and management of VAT affairs for the core principal entities.
Oversight of all broader EMEA regions VAT and Intrastat filings.
Able to communicate effectively with external stakeholders including tax authorities. This includes co-ordination of responses to tax authority enquiries.
Detection and evaluation of tax risks as well as opportunities regarding respective VAT issues. This will include the development of tax control framework for indirect taxes.
In consultation with DIT and the Global Finance Business Services team, to ensure further standardization, automation and continuous development of VAT compliance; this includes identification and resolution of master data or tax code determination quality issues.

What are we looking for?

Preferably at least 3 years of experience in an equivalent position within an international environment. EMEA wide VAT compliance expertise is a must.

This is a hands-on role where a mindset for driving process and system improvements within our current and future system architecture is key for success.

Experience with ERP systems, tax configurations and the tools and solutions to optimize the compliance cycle are required.

Languages: Must be fluent in English. Any other European language is highly valued.

Location: This is a hybrid role based preferably at our Uithoorn, (Netherlands).
