Your job
Group-wide material change needs to be managed structurally and effectively to meet internal and external timelines in an efficient way. In other words, being in control of bank-wide License to Operate change programs now and anticipate and foreseeing future ones.
How? We will give you an idea of the tasks involved in performing this impactful job:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management and engage all stakeholders in the execution of the regulatory and Building Foundation change programs, offering your subject matter expertise and advice
- Work in close collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure that the organisation prioritises effectively for the Regulatory Core and Building Foundation change programs
- Prepare input and facilitate regular dialogues with relevant governance bodies (e.g. ExBo, Regulatory Committee), such as the monthly updates to the ExBo and quarterly updates to the Supervisory Board and European Central Bank
- Pro-actively propose interventions towards relevant governance bodies, to ensure timely delivery
- Monitor progress of Regulatory Core and Building Foundation change programs, proactively identify / drive the resolution of impediments
- Address key (inter)dependencies between various change programs and maintain alignment with the Strategic Portfolio Management Team in the COO domain
- Use knowledge and experience to identify opportunities and accelerate regulatory compliance. Prepare and facilitate the Regulatory Execution Team (RET) meetings
- Plan / deliver learning sessions to enhance awareness and commitment to regulatory change execution
Working environment
You will be part of the Regulatory Execution Team (RET) of 6 people from various backgrounds and nationalities.
You will work closely with ExBo members / Extended Leadership Team and Grid Owners, colleagues from all the 3 lines of defence, and interact with external stakeholders (e.g. European Central Bank).
Your profile
- Proactive, open and collaborative, with a ‘just do it’ mentality
- Has a clear picture of the impact and risks / interdependencies of internal and external developments, and able to apply your analytical skills to translate into relevant concrete actions
- Well-developed organisational sensitivity skill. Can act on several levels and be a sparring partner for senior management
- Affinity with the regulatory (prudential and conduct regulations) and organisational change landscape
- Affinity with the world of Credit Risk, Model Risk and Data Management
- Excellent communicator in written and spoken English (in light of our reports/communication with the ExBo, Supervisory Board and the regulator) with a relevant network within and / or outside ABN AMRO
- A track record in mobilising people
- Experience in managing change
- Can act autonomously and challenge the status quo
- Strong learning and development mindset. Enthusiasm in team development and motivating others to be at their best
- International work experience is an asset

- The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
- The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
- Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
- Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
