Job Description:
This newly created role in the Treasury and Tax Department offers significant opportunities for professional growth, with a focus on diverse projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Samskip is a leader in sustainable logistics and is experiencing steady growth, which includes the establishment and acquisition of new companies. This expansion results in evolving tax requirements, especially as certain regulatory thresholds are met.
In collaboration with the Head of Treasury and Tax, you will play a key role in preparing transfer pricing documentation, managing tax reporting obligations such as the Country-by-Country report, Pillar 2 report, and Corporate Income Tax returns, and providing tax guidance to internal stakeholders worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of various tax reports and documentation.
- Analyze and assess transactions to identify and address potential tax implications.
- Provide guidance on ad-hoc tax-related inquiries, including issues related to withholding tax, permanent establishment, and VAT.
- Prepare and review both local and master transfer pricing files for multiple jurisdictions.
- Compile and submit country-by-country tax reports in compliance with international standards.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of international Corporate Income Tax (CIT) returns and tonnage tax calculations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for VAT matters, offering advice and support to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (HBO+) or university degree in Finance, Tax, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial or tax-related role, with a strong foundation in financial principles and an interest in international tax.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects while meeting deadlines.
- Detail-oriented and structured, with a proven track record of timely and accurate project completion.
